Novus/Masari/Orlok Alliance vs. Tyranids

Description

Novus, Masari, Orlok Alliance: The Novus, a race of hyper-advanced machines and their creators, fighting an ancient enemy across galaxies. The Masari, a race possessing science so advanced lesser races mistake it as magic, and its users as gods. Orlok, once a high ranking general of the Hierarchy, he has chosen to rebel, taking his forces with him on a crusade to tear down the Hierarchy and rebuild it in greater glory. These three groups have not always seen eye to eye, but they gather together now as one alliance to fight a far greater evil in the Hierarchy, and with hopes of building a better, more peaceful universe.

Tyranids: The mentality of the Tyranid approach to warfare can be described with the phrase "quantity has a quality all its own". Like a foul cancer, these creatures travel the stars eating away at worlds and destroying planets; seeking only there own propagation and evolutionary advancement. Constantly changing, adapting, and growing, the Tyranids have defied those that would hope to halt their advancement to consume all life. Driven by the great hunger, these star locusts will not stop until all universes have been made one in the Great Devourer.

Now the alliance will face a new and terrible threat. Can these three armies, brought together in war fight off the oncoming swarm of star locusts? Will the Great Devourer consume down to the last robot, mutant, and would-be god? Radiation, Droids, and Science that could well pass for magic will all be unleashed against these monsters, but at the same time they will face Lictors, Bio-Titans, and possibly the fury of the Swarmlord itself. Only time will tell who will win this battle, as both sides prepare to unleash their deadliest weapon in order to secure victory. In the end though only one can survive... but who? Tell me viewer, who you think will win the day. Tell me...

WHO! IS! DEADLIEST!

*(Because I know this will pop up if I say nothing: No space battles. Planet-side only.)

(Disclaimer: Just to be clear, these two combatants were created / are owned by people far more creative / wealthier then me. I have made this, not for profit, but in the hopes of encouraging spirited discussion among fans. Please support the combatants official series. Thank you, that is all).

Tyranids, for a few reasons. For one, the tyranids used in the PC are the ones from hive fleet gorgon so they will be adapting a lot more than another tyranid army might. Also like to note that gorgon wasn't the only one that adapted, and that tyranids can adapt strategically as well as biologically. They were getting slaughters by daemons on one world, and couldn't adapt to the warp based energy. to counter this, they just switched almost entirely to ranged forms and adapted to all of burgles plagues. When the tyranids face resistance, they will change strategy first, then form. Certain strategies that the tyranids can use against the novas masari orlok alliance are:

Ranged denial: Choke the atmosphere with spore clouds to both cut off breathable air and take away the option for effective ranged weaponry fire. theres also a new tyranid that spews out sentient spore clouds that actively swarm towards enemies and fly into their respirators.

Air denial: New tyranid updates show that the tyranids love to fill the skies with tons of spore mines. They have a new gigantic spore mine that can damage even large aircraft, and dense swarms of spores will make it extremely hard for the alliance to get the aerial advantage. In addition to this, tyranids have tons of flyers which can gang up on enemy flyers and pull them down, and a new flyer that shoots EMP weaponry! While the tyranids aerial fighting units may not be as good, their use of spore mines and EMP to take away the air advantage from the alliance

Numbers! simple tyranid strategy, overwhelm them in numbers. tried and true method, and always the first one they use.

Overall, the alliance is not ready for the horrors of a tyranid invasion. There are tactics to use against the bids, and if they had past experience against similar foes this might go better. However, by the time they figure out how to fight off the tyranids effectively it will be too late. Tyranid victory!
